About You
You're a senior designer who knows visual storytelling and presentation backwards and forwards. Your designs bring stories to life through illustration and animation. You’re naturally a solid blend of designer and thinker – a creative problem solver with a knack for communicating complex information in a stylistic visual format. You’ve got client-dazzling prowess, astute visual note-taking capabilities, and an awe-inspiring online portfolio comprised of work in multiple mediums.
Senior Designer - You are much more than a pixel pusher. You are experienced in designing and in leading teams to on-time delivery of client-elating results. You know the tools - Creative Suite, Office, iWork - for motion, interactive, audio, video & print.
Strategic Thinker - You have strong business acumen, think strategically and act instinctively, understand the complexities associated with technical information, and you are adept at creating uniquely appropriate concepts then bringing them home on-budget and on-time.
Live Presenter - You are masterful in working directly with clients – a quick thinker, a stellar brainstormer, a great on-the-phone interviewer, and an experienced live presenter / live drawer who is able to get through to the executive-level decision-makers.
Goal Visualizer - You are results-oriented with the ability to focus directly on meeting the clients’ needs with the highest of quality in the forefront of your mind.
Learner – You have a finger on the pulse of emerging web technologies and presentation tools. You keep abreast of changes and innovations in research, design and technology and evangelize those changes as appropriate. You conduct user research, synthesize and report insights.

Responsibilities:
• Design for user experiences. Create innovative designs that are useful, usable, engaging, and appropriate for a variety of complex business processes and goals.
• Present to clients in discovery sessions through live drawing and visual note-taking, face-to-face interaction, and/or engaging phone presentations.
• Advocate and design for the user’s goals from concept through development. Employ problem solving and design methodologies as appropriate for each project, including iterative design, prototyping, and testing.
• Facilitate communications internally, with clients, and with vendors to enable the creation of innovative design solutions. Supervise and collaborate with creative team members across multiple time zones to ensure final deliverables reflect user, client, design, and internal business goals. Manage the client relationship and function as client liaison.
• Help create and revise project workflow process and best practices as necessary. Push the work creatively and technologically while staying realistic about budget, resources, and schedules.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Interaction Design, or equivalent.
• 4+ years experience in a design studio or interactive agency, or equivalent.
• Fluent in interactive design, motion graphics, linear storytelling, and typography. Experience in authoring conceptual storyboards including creating messaging/story structure, script and copywriting from scratch.
• Excellent understanding of user-centered design. Ability to generate strong, strategy-based concepts and design for a variety of mediums. Fluent in how interaction design, graphics and technology work together to produce an integrated user experience. Ability to design for dynamic interfaces and content from rapid paper prototyping to implementation.
• Required to have working knowledge of MS Office and Adobe CS4, especially Illustrator, Flash, and Fireworks. Familiarity with Photoshop, After Effects, Dreamweaver, Garageband, Soundbooth, Final Cut Pro, as well as basic 3D design, character animation, and hand-illustration skills. Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, AS3, and Javascript.
• Excellent client interaction, leadership and teamwork skills. Ability to define tasks, organize complex projects and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate internally and externally, both visually and in writing, about a wide variety of concepts, processes, and products across multiple studio locations. Ability (specifically) to oversee the output from illustrators, programmers and animators to communicate concrete and abstract ideas.
